I downloaded the source code for the Events module and would like to modify it in my DotNetNuke installation. I'm running a DotNetNuke v.4.5.1 site on IIS on my XP machine. I have developed custom modules for this site using Visual Studio 2005 (by adding code to the app_code folder, to the DesktopModules folder, and adding separate Class Library projects). I know this sounds silly but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the source code for the Events module into this website and edit it. I uninstalled the events module that was already installed and installed the Events_03.03.08_Source.zip. The install went smoothly but when I run my website and try to put a breakpoint on the part of the code that I want to hit, Visual Studio tells me that the breakpoint won't be hit because no symbols are loaded for the page. It makes me think that it's using a compiled version of the Events dll instead of compiling the source code. I hope I'm being clear. I appreciate any help I can get
