I created an event running from Feb 10 to Mar 1 2008 (set with Start and End Date fields, not using recurrence). It showed up on the calendar in month view as Feb 10 to Mar 11. If I click on any of the entries within Feb, the event properties show Start: Feb 10 & End: Mar 1. However if I click on any of the entries within March, the event properties show Start: Feb 10 & End: Mar 11.

I have tried deleting it, recreating it, editing it and resaving it many times - I always get the same result. This problem has not occurred with any events entered in other months. There is also no problem if the Feb 10 to Mar 1 event is created using the Recurrence settings.

Is this a bug or something I can fix?

Are you sure that in March the entries show Feb10 to Mar 11? Not Feb 20 to Mar 11??
My experience is that the whole event gets shiftet, the duration stays the same. I think this happens if the duration is 10 days or more. I already tried to modify the code but didn't really find the point :-(

This bug was already mentioned here

BTW: If someone could manage the pinned threads, I would recommend to replace the older threads with maybe this (Categories) and this (no events displayed)

You are correct. Although the event shows on all days from Feb 10 to Mar 11, if I click on any of the entries within March, the event properties show Start: Feb 20 & End: Mar 11.

I logged the bug in Gemini as DNNP-6991 (Events module: long multi-day events shown with wrong start & end dates).
