We have an event calendar on a subpage of the site and on the homepage have a linked event module to provide a listign of upcoming events.  It seems to give a number of errors on the homepage and doesn't always load, sometimes it does and other times not.  Looking at the event log I get this below, any ideas?

Just further to this, it seem to give an error the first time the site loads in a browser each time until you go to the actual parent event page, then going to homepage it is fine.  But closing and reopening the browser causes the error again until the event page is selected first.

As is this is basically unusable.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

By the look of this you are using Events 3.3.8 or older. This is a known problem, see here for more details - http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=7231&PROJID=11. The problem is fixed in the next release 4.0.0.

You can avoid the error by disabling category select in the module settings.

Cheers
Roger

I'm using the latest version from the site, is there a fix available yet?

Mark,

The latest version on the DNN site is 3.3.8. You can check this by looking in Host/Module Definitions. As I said in my previous post, this is fixed in the next version 4.0.0. A beta version can be downloaded from www.dnnevents.net, as detailed in the post at the top of this forum. Because it is a beta version, it should not be used on production sites. Also the team cannot guarantee that you will be able to upgrade from this beta to a future final release.

Roger
