Hi,

I use the old "What's new" module in a portal, and I think to remember that this is using the Portal Search to display results. As I have a "Master" events calendar in the portal that summarizes multiple sub calendars, and I do not want these results in the "What's new" section, I disabled the setting "Enable DNN Search" in all of the Event modules - but it seems that this is ignored for the master calendar. Also when I use portal search for words that are used in the events, results are displayed in the search results page. When I enable the setting in all calendars, I get double search results (as well for the master as for the sub calendar) and double display of the events in the "What's new" module...

Any ideas?

Michael

BTW: I'm using DNN 04.08.03 and Events 03.03.08 in this portal. I changed the stored procedure GetSearchResults in a way to return partial words (changed the line "AND (sw.Word = @Word)" to "AND (sw.Word LIKE '%' + @Word + '%'" - but this cannot be the problem?)

Hi Michael,

you're right, the "What's New" module uses the Portal search. There were two other issues with the Events' ISearchable interface, which both have been fixed for the upcoming version 4.0, and the fix for EVT-4499 should have solved your issue as well, but I will check this to be sure.

Thank you Michael for the hints.

Thanks to Sebastian and Benjamin from the German DNN usergroup, I could solve the problem In the meantime by deleting all records from the search index related tabes and recreated the index - that was it.

Best wishes
Michael
