I'm afraid that doesn't give any clues. Another possibility is PayPal URL in your event module settings is wrong. It should read https://www.paypal.com.

Does this have anything to do with the Paypal account identity being under an email address in a different domain? The site alias is info.powerway.com and the account is at powerwayinc.com. Could this cause a problem?

Thanks - I found it. I had a mistake in the Event Module Settings for the paypal address - http instead of https.
