i am using module DNN Events 3.2.0 for DNN 3.2/4.2 PA Only - Submitted to DNN Core

with DotNetNuke Version: 3.2.2

When I check the "Enable List Mode" box under settings the module disappears (Display Time Zone here) is the only thing displayed.

I was imagining that checking this box would display all of the events in a list sorted by date as opposed to in a calendar view.

Just wondering if I'm incorrect or if there is a problem with my implementation.

Actually, it's a little more flexible than that, although not very obvious.  You create two different module instances (can be on different pages).  The first module does not have "Enable List Mode" selected...and is used for the Event Data entry/Calendar View.  The second module instance does have "Enable List Mode" selected and can be set to point to any Event/Calendar module instance on the Portal.

This provides a little more flexibility in that a "What's new list" to an Events Calendar can be setup on the Home Page, for example.  At some point we will most likely add a "Events List/Sort/Selection" on the Module Menu to switch views for a single module instance...

I know this is not obvious...I will add a requirement/edit validation to insure that when you select "Enable List Mode" you also are required to select another module instance.

Very helpful. Thank you.
Might I suggest the following when you mouse over the tool tip for "Enable List Mode:"

Change from:
Select to Enable Module List Mode

To:
Select to enable Module List Mode. NOTE: Requires two separate module instances. Instance 1: do NOT enable List Mode.  Instance 2: do enable List Mode and choose Instance 1 in dropdown below.

Thank you

I used Events_3.2_install.zip to install the module. I am running DNN 4 with asp.net 2.0

In your post you mention a What's new list. I am having trouble seeing how to accomplish this. The options include listing a certain number of days or number of events but I don't see anything that lets me choose the 5 most recently added. Thanks for any help you can provide.

The day that I discovered your improvements, a customer asked for a master calendar for their site. Your new events module is great.

Mike
