I have looked all over the settings and was wondering if there was a way to sort events by the begining date time in desc order.  As a general rule of thumb I try not to alter modules unless I absolutely have to :)

The ability to sort the the list view in reverse order is included in the next release (4.1.0). It is not available by default in 4.0.2.

Hello

I'm using version 05.00.00 but I don't see the option to sort the events in descending order by date.  Could you please let me know it could be done?

Thank You

Hi,

When you say version 5.0.0, that will mean DNN version 5.0.0, since there is no 5.x version of the Events module. The latest production release of the Events module is 4.0.2. The latest beta is version 4.1.1.

Cheers
Roger

Bryan-
(Until the next Events module release) You can add your own free "helper module" to get you the list you want with a single SQL query.

Here's an example that sorts EVENTS module events by location.  Modify the SQL query to just go by event start time instead of location (that's actually a much simpler query than the one in the example):

If that post looks interesting then you'll want to also check the lead-in series of posts/examples:
