Hi Guys,

Great work, new module looks much better.

I was looking for the new templating capabilities and I was wondering why the list views doesn't have the same styling possibilities as the details view. What I was hoping for something like the announcement module: header footer and item and alternate item. Shouldn't be that dificult now you have token replace implemented.

Some concrete issues:

  • the list view has a column "until" which is empy. why is it there?
  • the date formatting does not seem to work correctly, the module looks at the first event only. If the first event is an all day event, all other events are displayed as all day events. If the first event is not an all day event, then the module display all event as "not all day". I hope this is not by design...

Thanks for your efforts,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for looking at the module. To your points:-

  • "Until" should be an optional column in the list view. I suspect a bug here, since it doesn't seem to want to go away when I remove it from the selected columns list. I'll debug... It shows the last date of a recurrence, which is useful when you have selected the option to not show all recurrences of an event.
  • I have corrected the all day event formatting. Minor code error . In the next beta...

Good point.

We have discussed in the Events team earlier. And made a trade-off.

There are sites with many, many events. That is a big difference compared to Annoucements. We considered paging and sorting (of the gridview) more important than templating (hdr, detail, ftr) and programming the paging and sorting all ourselves.

Roger did a lot of work making the listview (gridview) flexible by settings, column selection, display items, etc. But again: it was a well considered trade-off.
