Would it be possible to change the functionality of the VIEW DATE function of the existing Events module??  Right now it requires multiple actions by a user in order to perform a simple task.  Ideally this should be streamlined.

Currently in the Events Module if a user clicks the VIEW DATE link at the top of the Calendar view they are presented with a small calendar, which allows them to easily select a date to navigate to.  When the user selects the date they are returned to the Calendar view and the selected date is populated in the date field next to the GO link, which the user then has to press.

Would it be possible to change this so when a user selects a date in the small pop-up, the pop-up calendar closes and the large calendar automatically updates to the date selected?  Why would you also make a user press the GO link?  Most people will click View Date and pick a date from the calendar and expect the calendar to update accordingly.  Other users will enter a date in the field and press go.  I don't see much value in having the pop-up calendar if all it does it populate that date field.

The effort should be on simplifying user experience and in turn simplify the way users interact with the system.  The more fluid the experience the longer they will stay.
