Seems to do with having previously configured Repeating events.  The repeated events keep the location and category null for the repated entries...in the older version.  The RC! build populates those.  That is about the best I can come up with as it seemed to be more a database issue than a coding issue.  This issue also effects the other calendars as well - MOnth and weekly will not allow forward navigation on the month week increments when it encounters such a record.

Hi Jody,

I just want to be clear on this, are you saying after upgrade (from which version?) that the location/category are populated for a recurring event, but not populated for a non-recurring event?

Thanks
Roger

Roger, upgraded from the stock 4.0.0.2 running on DNN 5.0

The fix seems from a user's standpoint - Navigate the SQL Table "DNN_EVENTS" - find the firt entry of your recurring event.

Find the Event ID.

Then paste this url:

[Name]/tabid/[#tab id#]/ctl/Details/Mid/# Module ID]/ItemID/#EventID#/EditRecur/All/Default.aspx

Delete the series

save then redo the occuring events...

Once done it show up just fine.

Not a perm fix but at least for others how to work around the issue - as the calendar is a huge portion of my sites.

BTW - great job on the new UI and options.  Really digging the empowerment it is going to give me on all my related sites it is used on...
