Hi, I've created a test event on my calendar which can be found here.

http://dev.vienouvelle-ecosse.ca/%C3%89v%C3%A9nements/tabid/54/Default.aspx

The test event seems to link to a list page (rather than the event details page). How can I change this as it isn't very user friendly to force them to click twice.

Also, is there a way using css to control the appearance of the calendar? the current options are pretty slim.

One last question... somewhat unrelated. I come from a Drupal background which has built in support for URL aliasing.  Is there a really good module I should isntall to get support for this in DNN? thanks in advance. I have version 4.8.3 I believe.

Hi,

I guess that link points to an internal site? At least I don't seem to be able to access it.

I would guess you have ticked 'Disable Month View Cell Events' so as to remove the event titles. Because a day can have more than one event, it logically cannot go direct to the event, it must go to a list. (However, I may have a look and see if this can be changed where there is only one event on a day).

The module uses Themes to control it's appearance. These can be found under ~/DesktopModules/Events/Themes. The current slim offerings are only there to get you started, feel free to generate your own. Bear in mind if you alter an existing one it will get overwritten when you upgrade the module.

Sorry, I can't help on Drupal/URL aliasing. I suspect Google is your friend...

Cheers
Roger

thanks for the quick reply, I'll give that a try (regarding turning back on the month view cell events).  It would be nice if the link took you directly to the detail page if only 1 event existed for that day. And displayed the list view only when needed (if two events were taking place).  I'm guessing that for the most part, we'll only have 1 event and it's a little annoying for users to have to click twice.  As for the appearance, I'll go in and play around with some css but thanks for letting me know about the overwrite when updated. I'll create my own here!  Too bad it can't "Steal" style information from current skins but I suppose that would be kinda hard.

The reason the site can't be accessed is because I installed iFinity URL master to rewrite my urls so they would be cleaner and more SEO friendly only to have the site break on me :(

I'm probably going to have to remove the iFinity from the web.config file to get the site up and running again... sigh
