Good Afternoon,

I have a project coming up and I was hoping to ask if it can be accomplished with this app before I get too invested.  The rough project outline is sort of a customized standalone outlook alternative.  Basically I need to create a booking calendar where our vendors can login and book our resources.  We want plenty of customizations such as resouces by regions driven by admin, automoted emails to the vendors etc.

The above image is a 2 second drawing of what I would like to see.  The user clicks on the day and books a resource which then populates the calendar and resource side panel.

Do you think this is the right app for me to use on this project?

Thanks in advance!

Can I suggest that download and try the module in a test environment. It would be best to use the version available by registering at www.dnnevents.net which has very nearly made it through to production release.

This would best allow to make a real life assessment rather than as making a more subjective assessment. The module does much of what you ask, but I can guarantee it does everything.

Cheers
Roger

Will do for sure.  Thanks.

I am actually more of the graphics designer on the team and i'm a few days ahead of the programmer who will be doing the majority of the work.  He is just finishing up a few projects.  I was just trying to get the ball rolling :)

Good Afternoon,

Ok, so we've installed and evaluated the events module and decided to go with it for our project.  P.O. is in the process of being approved atm.

I had a question though.  I want to run this booking calendar in a html frame.  My problem is when I call it from another frame, the navigation goes all weird in IE.  It's fine in Firefox (go figure.. but the majority of the audience uses IE.. so..).  What seems to happen is the site works fine, the navigation frame loads everything into the content frame as it should included the event calendar but once the event calander is clicked, the navigation starts loading all content into new separate windows.

Is there a way to properly load DDN modules into html frames?

If not, it won't be the end of the world, as I can just load the event module into a popup window, but I would prefer not to if possible.

Thanks for your time!
