Some questions about formatting the views for the events calendar
Week View:

There is the option to have it show all of the hours in the day and it puts the events in where they fit.  But it shows the WHOLE day, 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM.  We aren't going to be having any events at 2:00 in the morning, is there a way to only show a range of hours?  Say 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM?

List View: I have the option of choosing which fields to display in the module settings.  But, the fields are in a predetermined order, 02-Begin Date Time, 04-Event Name.  I would like the Event Name to display before the Begin Date, but with the numbers in front I can't see how to do this.  Is there a way to change the order of what shows here or is it just choose your info and it goes in a set order?

Regards,

-Mike

I think each of these are great candidates for Gemini. The first one looks like it should be implemented at the same time as EVT-9693. I couldn't find anything in Gemini that looked related to the fields order in List View. I would vote for both of these features!

I agree these are good ideas for future releases, feel free to add/update Gemini.

Currently you can't change the order of the List view columns. However with the templating available in 5.0.x, you could hide the date column, then use the templating available in the description column to display the data in the order you want it.

Cheers

Customizing the template to reorder the List view columns is an interesting workaround. However, I just tried and I can't figure out what I need to change. The List View templates I have available are List View Start Date format, List View End Date format, and List View Description. As a test, I tried setting the List View Description template to the following, but it doesn't change anything about the way the List View is displayed.

[event:startdate|ddd]
[event:startdate|MMM d, yy]
[NOTALLDAYEVENT][event:startdate|h:mm tt][/NOTALLDAYEVENT][ALLDAYEVENT]All Day Event[/ALLDAYEVENT]
[event:description]
[IFHASLOCATION][event:location][/IFHASLOCATION]
[IFHASCATEGORY][event:category][/IFHASCATEGORY]

Am I missing a template somewhere? I am using Events Module version 05.00.01 on DotNetNuke version 4.9.4.

Thanks,
Ray

Hi Ray,

By using the template you have shown above, and then showing the Edit Button, Event Name and Description columns (1,4,11). I get a list view that lools like the picture shown below. I would suggest you need some spaces and some <br/> to provide line breaks, since this gets interpreted to HTML.

Cheers
Roger
