Hi all,

It appears the Events module requires a User to Login to ENROLL ( RSVP ) for a Event ?

Since, our DNN User Group doesn't require that a User be registered on our Website to  RSVP we would like to know if there is some workaround or customization we could do to support this.

Currently, I wrote my own RSVP module to accept meeting RSVP's on our home page.

Since, it looks like Login is a requirement, then I will have to have keep my RSVP module or maybe change it to run the Events Enroll logic for a logged in User and or accept an anonymous user who enters Name,, Email, RSVP Status data.

So right now on our Home Page we have the Events Module to Show Event Info and our custom RSVP module to keep track of RSVPs.

So, any suggestions on how to handle anonymous Enrollments / RSVPs with the events module.

Thanks, Paul

Indeed, someone that wants to enroll an event has to be a valid DNN user of the site. The current structure of the Events requires a UserID for the enrollment process.

The request for anonymous users to enroll has been made before and is noted as a feature request, see http://dnnevents.codeplex.com/WorkIte...

I am currently in a situation where I need this feature also.  I just upgraded my client's site to DNN and she would like her customers to be able to very simply register for an event.  We are finding that asking these customers to register first is confusing - the customer registers to create an account but thinks he has registered for the event and consequently does not enroll for the event.

If you find yourself reading this then you are also wanting anonymous registration - please goto the feature request http://dnnevents.codeplex.com/workite... and add a vote/comment to give this request more momentum.

Please follow the request of John.
If there are a lot of votes, we will give this request higher priority (although implementing this request requires a refactoring of big chunk of the Events module)
