The missing " in the style and the not close colspan is not anymore in the RC that is in the DNN release tracker, so that should be solved.
I am curious about the "several", can you be more specific?

I don't think that input elements not being self closing (ending with "/>") will cause the ASP.Net 4.0 parser to error but they do impact XHTML compliancy. The following may have been changed in the RC but in EditEvents.ascx in v 5.00.03 are not self closing:

Lines 359, 394, 442, 541

The following input elements have an explicit closing tag </input> which is not valid XHTML for an empty element such as input:

Lines 452/453, 481/482.

I'm finding that the VS2010 source view and error list is much better at flagging these issues than was the case in VS2008.

Hi WIliiam,

Tnx for the feedback. I will have a look at the RC for the closing tags (not on this PC where I am wrinting this sitting in the garden). We do want to remain XMTHL compliant, as should be true for most core modules.

We have not moved Events for this RC to VS2010, but still work in VS2008. We will use VS2010 for the version thereafter (We are using VS2010 for some time already for our normal work...).

AFAICS, all missing end tages are corrected in the Events RC 5.1.4  that is in the release tracker right now.

Hi. Does anybody know 'what' was changed between the Events module and the .NET Framework 4.0 that was originally causing this error and then what was fixed in it? We are having this same error in a couple of our modules with users running on the 4.0 framework and having a hard time nailing down what exactly is the problem. Just curious if anyone knows what changed specifically related to this error. Also - The error was the original error on the post, something like: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCellCollection must have items of type 'System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCell'. 'dnn:label' is of type 'ASP.controls_labelcontrol_ascx'. ---|> System.Web.HttpParseException: System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCellCollection must have items of type 'System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlTableCell'. 'dnn:label' is of type 'ASP.controls_labelcontrol_ascx'. ---|> I have found this in a few other vendors modules as well so hopefully it will be a quick change within the new .NET 4.0 Framework. -Chad
