Hello,

I've installed Events 5.1.5 on my maine DNN portal and it was working greate. DNN version is the latest
So I've decided to install on a child portal and now when I try to add an event I have the following error message :

Erreur Erreur: est actuellement indisponible.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.LoadNewEventEmailRoles(Int32 RoleID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EditEvents.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

When I try editing the settings I get the following error message :

ErreurUne erreur critique est survenue.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

So that I can't use the Events Module. Unfortunatly!

Anyone has an idea on how to solve the problem?

Thanks a lot for any suggestion.

David

This problem caused by an invalid RegisteredRoleId in the portals table. Presumably caused by a bug in core DNN when child portal was created.

Run this - select portalid, registeredroleid from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}portals - in Host/SQL
and this -  select roleid, portalid, rolename from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}roles
where rolename = 'registered users'

If the RoleID's are different between teh first query and the second that is the problem. Post back here and I can advise more.
