Hello..
We're configuring a departmental events calendar which is only viewable by a certain DNN Security Group.

Is there a way to have notification e-mails automatically sent to everone which is part of this DNN security Group?

E.g.  The Programmers department has a meeting on a wednesday next week.  It's added to the calendar and we want everyone in the Programmers department to get a reminder e-mail 3 days prior to the meeting.  Is this possible?

Hi Jeff,

There is currently no way to automatically notify a security group. Notifications are only sent to users who specifically request it. Or in 5.2.0, you can edit an event at the appropriate time, and send an email to a security group - i.e. a manual process.

Feel free to raise a request on CodePlex for the functionality you require, and we will look at it for a future release. I suspect there may already be a similar request on there somewhere, so feel free to add your vote/comments.

I looked and there was already a request opened at the end of March for this same type of suggestion.

I voted it and added my $.02 to it.. ha-ha..  Hope to see it in a (very soon) future revision.. ha-ha..  Thanks.. -Jeff
