I was wondering if I could get some clarification on how the Email reminders work in the Events Module. I have several recurring events that are set to email a reminder 1 hour before the scheduled event. However it only seems to only work when I am logged into DNN. The whole Idea was to be able to come to work and open my email and see what work was scheduled for that day? Am I missing something in my setup of this module or is this normal behavior?

You need to go into each event and request a reminder. Then you need to make sure your DNN scheduler is configured to run on timer not on request. If set to on request the schedule will only run when the ite is accessed.

So just to Verify....I have logged on as host, went to Host Settings / Schedule and I am looking at DNN events. The schedule is enable, set to run every hour, retries after 30 minutes and Run on event is set to "None"

Also look under Other Settings in Host Settings at the Scheduler Mode. Or at least it is called that in DNN 5.x

I am using DNN 06.01.01 . I know it has changed since 5.x . What would the 6.x equivalent settings be?
