Hi, first post so firstly thanks for the work on this, it's a great tool and proving invaluable for me as a hopeless developer.

I am currently building an intranet site for the school I work in and would like to develop a simple room booking system for shared classrooms, areas and resources. Most of the modules for this are pretty expensive and more convoluted as I need as it's simply availability I'm managing rather than payments and pricing etc. I already use this for the school calendars and looking through this app it  appears to have all the functionality I need.

Functionally I have I created each class as a location and using the scheduling conflicts to stop multiple bookings I can manage the rooms how I want. From a usability standpoint though I've ran in to a bit of a problem, at present I've created a category for the room bookings and each room as a location but bookings all appear in one place and seeing what rooms are booked or available is a nightmare. To work round this is there any way to filter by location in the way that you can currently filter by category?

Also tied to this when hovering over a booking on the calender the event and date details are shown but I would like the location data displayed here also, is this possible?

If these weren't possible a workaround would be to change the locations as categories but I don't want them all to show in other calendars as It would create far to many categories on the drop down when adding filters. Is there any way to have different categories available to different calenders?

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,

To be honest the filtering by location and categories by module are requests we have had a number of times. We do plan to add them, but we have many requests and we are trying to focus on those items with the most votes on our codeplex site so please vote for them there. You have already considered the workarounds I would propese, so I don't have anything further.

For display of location information in the tooltips, have a look at the template and token capability of the module on codeplex, it should be able to do what you need. If you need any more guidance on that please ask.

Cheers
Roger
