Hi - is it possible with changes to the code to allow an event to belong to more than one category?  Anyone interested in a small project making a few custom changes to this module?

Essentially, my organization is needing to have many departments use a calendar and then show various calendars where they are relevant in master calendars.  We are able to do this already with the new version of events (which is awesome by the way!), however, we are needing to show Free events somehow that is searchable, and ideally apply more than one category to an event (possibly making Free events a cateogry option and then apply the free with the other appropriate listing).  Lastly, we would want to show the category filter in a side pane with all options visible rather than a drop down.  doable?  Or maybe with an event we just add a custom check box to denote if the event is a free one or not, and then allow it to be filtered somehow?

Can anyone help me out or interested in some side work if you can accomplish this?  I realize these types of changes can be submitted for the next release, but we want to use this module but with a few tweaks right away.  thanks! Mike.

I'd also be very interested in being able to assign multiple categories per event. I'm currently using InvenManager "Event Calendar & Registration" but am considering moving to this module if it implements all the use cases we have (one of which being events needing to be assigned to multiple categories).

Hi Jashan,

Sorry, the module does not currently support multiple categories per event. I think this has been raised as a request on CodePlex, so feel free to add your vote to it (it does help us to prioritise) or create a new feature request if it isn't there.

Cheers
Roger
