Okay, in the Events Calendar module (which has come a long way since I first used it in 2006), there's an annoying, apparently meaningless red box that shows up.  And changes willy-nilly.

 It does not indicate the current day.

 If it's sitting on today at first load, then when you roll over to November, it becomes the 1st of November.  Roll back to October, and it is now framing the 1st of October.

 I want it gone.  How do I do that?
