Is it possible to control the format of how the "No events to display" message is displayed in the List view?  In version 5 of the events module it is displayed as simple text.  When I upgraded to 6.00.03 the message displayed in the yellow warning message format.  I am using the list view to display upcoming events on the side of my page and the formatting of the message caused the events control to be very wide causing issues with the format of the rest of my page.  I saw in a previous thread that there is no way to turn the display of the message off but is there a way to control the format of its display.  I would like to make use of the new features in version 6 of the module but I cannot install it if it is going to throw off the format of my page when there happens to be no events to display.

Thank you

Tom

Hi Tom,

You will be ablt to apply some css styling to change how it looks. If you can provide a link to the page with the problem, I should be able to provide some specific advice.

Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thank you for the quick response.  Unfortunately I had to back out the upgrade to the 5.02.03 version as there is a an active site on the install that I deployed it to that had no events to display and thus the content in the middle of my page was getting constricted.  Is there a tag or id  or a CSS style that I need to look for to override?  What is the best approach to override it?

Tom

Hi Tom,

There is no specific id since it is a generated control, but you can target all warnings in the module by building a style against '.Themexxxxxxx .dnnFormMessage.dnnFormWarning', where xxxxxxx is your theme name.

If you haven't used it before then you can developer tools in IE by pressing F12, then you can target the control you want to style and play with it on the fly. If you use Firefox/Google then check out Firebug which does a similar thing.

Cheers
Roger
