Hi All,

I have a portal (DNN 6.2.5) where I had to allow users to put in multiple email addresses for their email address (its a school so parents only want one account but they watt o be notified at multiple email accounts). By simply going into the Admin->Site Settings -> User Account Settings and blanking out the email validation regular expression (I do plan on eventually putting in a proper regular expression), I was able to allow them to put in multiple email addresses, and so far, everything regarding core and notifications I've tested works fine.

However, now they want the ability for people to be able to set their own reminders on the events, and it looks like the events module will not let them do this (since it flags the email address as invalid - even though its grayed out, so it can't be changed).

Is there any way to shut off that validation currently? If not, I would like to see added either reading the regular expression from the core setting (Admin->Site Settings -> User Account Settings), or the ability to shut off the email validation (since in this case - I only allow registered users to set reminders - there would never be any email addresses that wouldn't pass the initial entering/updating).

thks,

Phil

The EventDetails.acsx contains the regular expression for validating the email address. You could try to remove or change that validation and see what happens.
