It looks like we were on Events Module 5.0.2 prior to this. Does that help?

It means you were on a 3 year old version, which will make it difficult to identify why there should be a slow down since then.

Have you tried taking tooltips off to see if performance improves? Even if you don't leave it like that.

I'll talk with my client about removing the tooltips. It's really a nice feature to have, I'll see if he's willing to take it off, might be hard considering it was fine before upgrading.

I'm only suggesting as a test to see if that is the cause. Hopefully they will support a 5 minutes test?
