To be honest it looks like it is running a click behind... Maybe a challenge to figure this one out...

Hi Dan,

I've taken a look at this. DNN 7 is making a mess of the show/hide logic of sections/attributes in Edit Events (and maybe elsewhere). I’m going to have to do a substantial re-write of the .js in that area. For some reason the onclick event is being triggered prior to the value of the checkboxes being set an accessible correctly in the javascript. I think this is because DNN 7 has added a layer of imagery over the checkbox. So, I’ve looked at how this is handled in Host Settings, and believe I can re-write to the same style, which will hopefully then work across DNN 6/7.

This may take 2/3 weeks to get done and then published as a beta of version 6.1.1. I usually beat my targets but no promises here, it depends whether I can get it to work easily.

Cheers
Roger

Hi Dan,

I've had some input from William Severance. I've tested his advice and it works. Feel free to edit EditEvents.ascx to apply this in the appropriate places.

William Severance wrote:
I've also run into this issue. Take a look at the .dnnCheckbox jQuery plug-in defined in Resources\Shared\scripts\dnn.jquery.js and you'll see how the wrapper and event handlers are getting applied. You'll also see that there is a simple, but not visually optimal way around the issue. Add the class "normalCheckBox" or "normalRadioButton" to the checkbox or radio button element to prevent the DNN 7 wrapper and event handlers from being applied. The downside is that the checkboxes and radio buttons to which these classes are added will not have the same look as those throughout the rest of the site.

Cheers
Roger

Whilst normalCheckBox works, normalRadioButton seems to make the button disappear completely.

Sorry, my bad, just other formatting items that DNN 7 is applying took my eye off it.
