What triggers a calendar to become a master? Is it possible to reverse it? We have a number of calendars and it looks like we have two master calendars now (two of them don't show in the list of available sub-calendars). We are not sure why or how. Is it possible? Can we reverse one of them back into the sub-calendar?

A master calendar cannot be a sub-calendar. i.e. For Calendar A, if you include Calendar B into it then A is Master and B is a sub-calendar. To make A available to be included as a sub-calendar, remove B from it.

Roger,
Just out of curiosity: Why can't you include a master calendar as a subcalendar of another calendar? What problems does it cause?

(PS. I modified my instances to allow ANY calendar to be added as a subcalendar by modifying the EventsMasterAvailableModules stored procedure and commenting out part of the WHERE clause.)

Because the implication is that you might wish the content of a sub-calendar that is shown in the master calendar to also show in the master of the master, which the module won't do.

I would implement a different model to achieve what you are trying to achieve. It used to before the current team took it on, but it was removed due to complexity.

- Module A - content of your current Master
- Module B - content of your current sub-calendar
- Module C - has sub-calendars A & B - Displays equivalent to your current master
- Module D - has sub-calendar A - Displays equivalent to your master of master

This would display the same set of data as the way you are doing, and follows the principles of the module.

In the end it is up to you :-)
