Hi Guys,
Haven't used Events since a much older version. It's come a long way and many thanks for that.
I have just installed 6.1.4 on a DNN 7.2.2 site. The major issue I have is that when looking at an event in a list it is (almost) impossible to click through to the event detail since as soon as one hovers the event a pop-up with the event details appears and you can't click the link quick enough. If I try REAL hard I can get it to click thru maybe one attempt in twenty but I can;t see the end users thinking much of that!
Any advice would be gratefully received. The page can be viewed at: http://artn.epicservices.com.au/Diary it's not live yet but needs to be very soon so ideas needed quickly.

Thoughts:

  • Can I control popup location wioth CSS and if so where
  • Whlist I'm here can I make the popup show the summary
  • Worst case how does one disable the popup function?

The lay-out of the tooltip is controlled by css, look for *.css in the themes folder and for classes that have "Eventtooltip" as part of their name. Be aware that a lot can be specified.

Switching off tooltips is easy: Settings/Display/Tooltip settings.

You can also configure what is displayed in the popup using the Templating in Event Settings.
