I see within the setting of the module that there is a choice for paid registration via PayPal. I have not tested this myself yet but am hoping someone on here has and/or has implemented it. If so, how is the process?

Does it work well to accept paid registration for events?

The current version of the Events module (6.1.4) offers an option to created events where a payment (via PayPal) is required. Selectable in the settings & individual events. A PayPal account (to receive the payments) is required.

Please note that we have defined a roadmap for Events, where payment is one of the options will be dropped in the next major upgrade. See the Defining the Events Roadmap forum post.

Thanks, so in the next upgrade there will be no more paid enrollment? Can you send me a link so I can make sure we are talking about the same module? I do not see where to attach a screenshot so I can show you my settings page.

Yes, that is the one that I am talking about. So, currently it does accept paypal registration but in the next major upgrade it won't?
