I have noticed a problem with events recurring every week on 1 day. For example I have an event that occurs every monday, I enter it into in the Events modules as a recurring event that occurs every 1 week on thursday starting 9/28/2006 and ending on 9/26/2007. The event then shows up on the calendar everyday starting on 9/28, not just on thursdays as would be expected. I have tried this on various installations and different modules all with the same result. What is worse is during October the event shows up on the calendar twice everyday for the 1st week, three times everday for the 2nd week and so on.

Has anyone else seen this?

I discovered why this is occuring. In my test event I set the Event Start Date to 9/26/2006, the Event End Date to 9/26/2007 and the Repeat Until Date to 9/26/2007. After looking through the code I realized the value for the Event End Date is the cause. The code that checks to see if an Event is occuring on a given day does not take into account if this is a recurring event it just does comparisons based on the Event Start Date and Event End Date, when I set the Event End Date to 9/26/2006 everything works fine. I still think this is a bug because the Repeat Until Date should always reflect the Event End Date, if nothing else that field should not be editable.
