I don't know if this is the right category but the Events module is the only exhibiting this problem...

I have 4.3.5 DotNetNuke and I add an Events Module to a page.  It displays okay and says to configure through the Settings.  When I open the the Setting page, I get the following error:

Error: Module is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions.ProcessModuleLoadException(PortalModuleBase ctrlModule, Exception exc) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventController.UpgradeEvents(Int32 ModuleID) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.Settings.LoadSettings() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Modules.ModuleSettingsPage.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

The log viewer displays a Module Load Exception:

I'm not sure what I have to do to fix the problem.  Please help.  (I'm sure it's something simple but the site works well otherwise.)

I did find the problem...after much trial and error and pulling of hair.

Apparently, the events module uses the old "backward" compatability SQL connect string in the <appSettings>, unlike all the other modules, which use the newer <connectStrings> line in the web.config page.

I had a type-o in that line so it couldn't connect to the database.

I am experiencing a similar problem, but it seems to be related to text resources. This exception is thrown when attempting to add an event and the locale is not set to English(US). Technically, a resource shall default to en-US if no locale specific resource is found...
Can anyone tell me why this occurs:
