I'm using the events module for the first time.  I don't really want the calendar display, so I switched on "list mode", but when I do so, there's no "add events" menu item.  Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?  (If I switch off "list mode", the add events menu item re-appears.

"Add events" is available in Calendar view only.

If you need an events list only, I recommend to use UserDefinedTable ;)

I had a similar need on a page on my web site.  My solution is as follows:

  1. I added an Events module in "Calendar" View mode.
  2. I made the Calendar module viewable only to administrators.
  3. I added an Events module in "List" View mode that "feeds" from the Calendar module.
  4. I made the List module viewable to all users.
  5. Whenever I add events, I login as admin and add the events to the Calendar module.
  6. The List module automatically picks up any new events added to the Calendar module.

I hope that this helps!

I had the same problem.  Using Vangor's solution, however, I did get it to work.  It still, however, seems like a bug.  Presenting this to my client, and training them on this work-around seems a bit unprofessional to me.  I would like to hear from someone on the Core Team, perhaps, as to if this will be fixed at some point.
Thanks
Tim
