I started this post 2 months ago and my suspicions have been validated- the project team for this module has stop caring- Let’s face it-and speak the words- The DNN Framework is the best, we all know that.

The projects, on the other hand are crap- I don’t know of one module I haven’t changed or wanted to change- The system is broke, and we need to fix it.

The question we must ask is why the state of affairs is so bad. The answer in my mind is that these guys are just flat out tired. We the community are relentless in our requests and expect everyone to work for free- that ain’t fair man- let’s start rewarding these guys for the work they do, and pay a little money so that we can get a product that actually works.

How many of you complainers are benefactors- And DOTNETNUKE- are you sharing the profits with your project leaders? I think not. It’s broke, let’s fix it-today?

Hi Mark,

I couldn’t agree with your post more. I think DotNetNuke is awesome, and have been using it since 1.1.10e. But what baffles me is how a module as buggy as this even makes it into DotNetNuke, and then goes unsupported. I firmly believe if this trend continues the impression it gives to new users of DotNetNuke is unwanted and will turn people away from using this awesome product if the included modules are this buggy.

I have had issue after issue with the events module, and to make matters worse I have a client that really likes the features of the module but is growing very impatient with me due to all the bugs in it. I also think the features of the module are great, but when you read post after post in these forums about the problems people are having with no response from the Project/Core Team it is frustrating.

I have no problem contributing/paying to improve not only this but all DotNetNuke modules, as this situation needs to be FIXED and I hope it can be. Can someone on the Project/Core team please reply to this post with the current state of this module (e.g. dead, new release expected when?) and thoughts on how to improve the DotNetNuke projects?

Also, if anyone knows a similar events module with PayPal enrolments could you please let me know as I either have to purchase a new module or modify the source myself to get this working for my client ASAP.

Thanks
