I have upgraded two sites successfully but on both sites I ran into the following -- see below.  One site was an upgrade from DNN 5.1.4 and the other from 5.2.3.

  1. No errors or warning appear on the upgrade log during the upgrade.
  2. I am able to login without any problems.
  3. I click on my user name to go to my account.
  4. The new "User Profile Page" is displayed -- but there are two instances of the "My Profile" control.  This is the templated control that shows an image and address information (the default).
  5. I can delete one without a problem.  It's just why are there two????
  6. Is this a known issue or should I write it up in Gemini?

Thought it got logged a while back, but I don't see the issue in Gemini right now - so please log the bug.

Looks like you've already found the workaround - many thanks.

Hi Guys,

Additional problems in View Profile module:
1. In settings there is 'Profile Template::' - double colon (not big problem :) )
Profile Template is empty on first load. Should press 'Load defaults'. Probably code was not included on module install. also not big problem.
Just message could appear explaining what needs be done OR add/load default template on module init if no data in db found for template.
2. Photo link never returns image.
    I have source like that:
    <img alt="Profile Avatar" class="ProfilePhoto" width="90" height="110" src="/LanaLecta_Dev/LinkClick.aspx?filetic..." />
but my LinkClick.aspx never returns that fileticket. Is something from with my file system, or my duplicated images? I understand that this fileticket is somehow encoded file id. Is that correct?
3. I deleted 'My Inbox' (Messaging module, User Messaging; which name of the module is correct?). And it doesn't appear in Modules list on Control Panel.
Later I managed to restore it from Recycle bin.
But still it should appear in module list, shouldn't it?

Thank you for your time

Kind regards,
Jonas Sarunas

Another issues

1. Regular user can't upload photo on his profile, because upload file link is hidden.

2. Clicking on user name User Skin objects doesn't redirects to User Profile page.
This was related with default language of my portal which is not English (United States).
That's why I could not update admin settings and define User Profile as my page for 'User Registration/Profile Page'
This is known issue and was solved by replacing CultureCode value in table PortalLocalization with en-US

Still can't find how to force LinkClick.aspx to work. Looks like related to security issues.
No errors logs were on Log Viewer.

Regards,
Jonas
