Hi all!! I would really appreciate your help,

I have upgraded from 05.02.03 release to 05.03.00 and after uploading the new upgrade files into the root folder on my Website I received a "Server Error in '/' Application" after viewing the error it says "500 - Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed." the Website is hosted at go daddy, I am all lost, I have backed up all of the files before the upgrade, but after restoring the backup, I still receive the same error.

does anyone have any suggestions?

IMHO the problem lies at and around godaddy. If I hosted with them I'd have all my hair lost (if I had left any)...

The Http 500 error is a very generic one. Your first task will be to find out more details about the error:

1. In your site's web.config, find the following line:

<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" />

and change it to

<customErrors mode="Off" />

Note that the O in Off is capitalized. Resave or re-upload the modified web.config to the server and revisit the site. If you do not receive an error, the problem was temporary and corrected itself when the re-upload of the modified web.config forced the server application to restart. In that case, change the customErrors node back to mode="RemoteOnly". More than likely, a more complete error message will be displayed. Post the entire error message back to this forum thread and we will be able to study it.

You also mentioned that after receiving the error you restored your files from the backup you had made but still received the error. Did you restore both the backup of the site's files AND the backup of the database? A restore of one backup without the other being restored will leave the site in an unworkable condition and would explain why the site did not work after the restore.
