REF: DNN 5.02.02 running on Win2k3, IIS6 & SQL Server 2005

On a fresh install of DNN, I notice that when I add a module to a page and look at the settings of module, ALL the VIEW permissions have the lock icon displayed. The module defaults to "inherit view permissions from page" however the view permissions of the page are view (all users + administrator) and edit (administrator only).

I took a screen shot of the module settings: http://www.crawfordcaponi.com/portals...

If i (in the module settings) uncheck "inherit view permissions from page" , the only remaining lock icons are administrator for both view and edit.

Something is very wrong here. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike.

That is actually how DNN is supposed to work. The view permissions are locked on the module because DNN won't let you change them unless you unlock the inherit view permissions. If you turn off the inherit permissions you then need to define what view permissions should apply to that module.
