 Hi,

I use FileZilla to upload my Upgrade Files to my Hosting Server.

If any one who uses FileZilla will know, when you start to upgrade it gives you some options to use. The main option i always use is "Upload all files and replace" but there is also an option that says "Upload files if file size is different".

Can i use the second option as it cuts down on time. Obviously if files that are included in the upgrade are not part of my servers files then they will be uploaded regardless. But Image files and other files don't need to be uploaded and replaced do they?

Thanks.

to be sure, you should stick with the first option, otherwise there might be changes ignored. the only option to speed upload up is a local diff with previous version and upload altered files only, but usually this shouldn't be a problem. make sure, however, that the upgrade is not triggered before all files are uploaded, i.e. alter "autoupgrade" in web.config to false and start upgrade manually by calling "/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade" url.
