Hello all..

I installed DDN a 3 or 4 weeks ago and I just noticed that I'm running on version 05.02.03 (74).  I used the Microsoft Web Platform Installer, since it appeared to be the easiest route, and it did go smoothly.  I noticed today that version 05.04.01 had been released at the end of April.  I had thought that maybe I just missed the window, so I attempted to use MS Web Platform Installer again, figuring it would install the latest version.  However it show the same version I currently have would be installed again.

I'm wondering if I should attempt the upgrade manually or not.  I'm running DNN on a Windows XP Pro SP3 machine, so I'm curious if the Installer reconigizes that and will only install what my machine is capable of working with.  I don't have a full blow SQL Srv, just using the Express version, that the installer installed as part of the whole package.

Thanks,
Bob

there are delays in upgrading packages for MS platform installer, but for now, DNN 5.2.3 is a very stable version. There will be DNN 5.4.2 released within the next week, wait for experiences reported by other users here before deciding to upgrade to it.

Cheers from Germany,
