I just upgraded from 5.4.4 to 5.5, and my site crashed. The error message is:

An item with the same key has already been added.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

I tried to revert back to 5.4.4, and got another error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

does the error persist after an app restart?

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, it persists. I finally got the site partially restored by using an old version, with the 5.4.2 platform; but it's still giving errors.
