Hi,

First, excellent work with DNN 5.5.1! I'm updating all instances I have in my servers. I have two instances (DNN 4.9.0 and 5.2.3) that return error when I upgrade to DNN 5.5.1.

DNN 4.9.0

"Compiled Error Message: BC30002: Type 'Web.HttpContext' is not defined
Source Error: Line 309: Dim ctx = Web.HttpContext.Current as Web.HttpContext
Source File: ... \ App_Code \ Chat \ DnnChatCodeHelper.vb"

I have installed XML 5.3.1 before I upgrade to DNN 5.5.1

DNN 5.2.3

"Compiled Error Message: BC32206: The project currently contains reference to more than one version of Telerik.Web.UI ...... Change the direct reference to use version 2010.2.713.35 ..."
Source Error: Line 32: ' <dnnui: DnnWindowsManager ID="DnnWindowsManager" runat="server" Visible="False">
Source File: ... \ default.aspx"

Where is this reference? Web.config is ok!

King Regards

No, on the first server I have .NET 2.0 and all other instances are running correctly (2psystems.com, tonicoll.com ...) I really need to update to 3.5 SP1?

Yes, you need to upgrade. DotNetNuke version 5.2.0 and above REQUIRE ASP.Net 3.5 SP1 (or ASP.Net 4.0 for DNN 5.4.x and above) as well as MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (standard or express).

Also, the first error (HtttpCompile error) which you posted involves the DotNetNuke Chat module which is not compatible with DotNetNuke version greater than 5.3.0. Deleting all files from the folder App_Code\Chat should remove the application error after which you will need to login as host and uninstall the Chat module (from Host-->Extensions page). However, if this site is not running with the above requirements, there will be other errors. Therefore, I recommend that you roll that site back to DNN 4.9.0 using the file system and database backups you (hopefully), uninstall the chat module, upgrade to DNN 4.9.5, and finally upgrade to DNN 5.5.1. Use the upgrade packages when upgrading and do not make any changes manually to your existing web.config.
