Hi,

I have read through the Wiki on how to upgrade DNN. I am not sure if the wiki applies to my situation? I want to upgrade from 2.2 to 5.5. Do I need to do an incremental upgrade? Or I can go from 2.2 to 5.5?

Wiki

Thanks,

Bones

You will definitely want to do an incremental upgrade. I recently performed one from 2.1.2 to 4.9.5 then to 5.5, though you will likely have to spend a lot of time fixing things after the upgrade, unfortunately, unless your site is very basic and only uses a few modules.

Thanks. The site has no custom modules. Its straight out of the box (from what I've been told).

I strongly suggest a multistep approach via 3.1.1, 4.3.7, 4.6.2 and 4.9.5, if you have more than just a few HTML modules and links. you may follow my upgrade check list: http://www.deutschnetnuke.de/tabid/186/Default.aspx

Hi Bones.

How did this work out for you?  Were there a lot of fixes required?

Thanks,
Disker
