I have an installation of DNN 4.9.3 that is running on SQL Server 2000 I copied the database to SQL Server 2008 and set up the user I can connect fine with an ODBC data source. But when I change the connection string and open the site i get an under construction page in the install directory. Am I missing a step?

by default SQL 2008 does not allow tcp/ip connections. Did you check wether all correct protocols of SQL Server are turned on?

you cannot use the ODBC drivers, but need to use SQL server OLEDB/ADO.Net data source.

I used the SQL Server Native Client 10.0 drivers and tested the connection string in a different project and both connected no problem.
