I found this in another post and it worked for me using DNN with ASP.NET 4.0

Under Host Settings I added an entry in the Host Friendly URL's redirecting my http://www.example.com/ to http://www.example.com/default.aspx.

 I figured it might be prudent to also add the following variation to the Host Friendly URL's

http://example.com/ to http://example.com/default.aspx

I upgraded from 5.5.1 to 5.6.0. My website was working perfect before but now I get "

DotNetNuke Error...Windows Vista...Return to Site"
I tried every thing I found in this forum and others (deleted wrong aliases then restarted, etc). I got support from my hosting and they did not find anything wrong. I restored the site to 5.5.1 and it is working OK.
