Are you serious... Is this still broken in this release? unbelievable!
Thank god I trusted my DNN instinct and checked the forum before upgrading. I was minutes away from losing an evening's work.

@Jose,
DNN gives me also always a headhache concerning upgrades and bug tracking. I haved ifinity module with url rewrite installed (had pain from this in combination with many dnn installs already)..but currently it allowed me to upgrade to dnn 5.6.1 from dnn 5.6.0 without problems. dnn 5.6.1 addresses security issues..so that is the reason I upgrade. I still have however another kind os sql lock error on the scheduler (other post)....since such errors and the bad SEO capability keep on going I do not recommend dnn anymore as an awsome platform...with dnn now for about 7 years?

Good news on this front, I found the issue in my case and hopefully for all the rest also.

in the web.config, if you have a neatUpload element the useHttpModule needs to be set to False

<neatUpload useHttpModule="false" />

Hope this solves your problems. has finally solved mine.

Also, on a performance note.. Truncate your Event Log, it has made an unbelievable difference to my site.

Can anyone from the Core Team verify this and indicate any implications this will have on the uploading of files (which modules will be affected)?

Thanks for the suggestion Anthony!

Josh

Hi Josh,

No problems.. I am just glad it has resolved my issue and hope it helps others.

On the upload front, I did a few test but couldn't see any implications.
