Good news on this front, I found the issue in my case and hopefully for all the rest also.

in the web.config, if you have a neatUpload element the useHttpModule needs to be set to False

Hope this solves your problems. has finally solved mine.

Also, on a performance note.. Truncate your Event Log, it has made an unbelievable difference to my site.

Can anyone from the Core Team verify this and indicate any implications this will have on the uploading of files (which modules will be affected)?

Thanks for the suggestion Anthony!

 Josh;
Can you post this as a completely separate thread so it's not lost in confusion and so it has a proper title that Core and/or Corp folks can search on?

Thx,

 I just bit the bullet and upgraded to 5.6.1 even though I had this domain issue and also have the brettle component. I'm pretty sure It came with ultra Media/Video Gallery and all it does it display the progress bar, so I was happy to drop it if necessary.

In any case, 5.6.1 works and I've not yet experienced the domain issue.

I am using Brettle NeatUpload and have experienced the issues in this thread.  Setting useHttpModule="false" disables the upload progress bar, which is also used to cancel in-progress uploads.  Vital feedback to my users.

Do we know why 5.6.1 breaks NeatUpload?  Is there a workaround that does not remove the progress bar?
