The server restore was most likely the cause of the problem - the hosting provider apparently restored the files from an older backup but did not restore the database. Since you are not able to easily check assembly versions, I would go ahead with Sebastian's recommendation of unzipping the 04.09.05 UPDATE package and copying all folders and files over those already there - maintaining the folder structure of course. Make sure that you use the UPDATE package. Before copying folders and files to the site's root folder I would also recommend that you make a backup copy of the site's folders and files and also a backup of the database - just in case this doesn't go well.  Good luck and let us know how it works!

Will copy files over. I do have a question. Do I leave the web.config file alone?

Yes, leave the web.config file alone. The upgrade package intentionally does not have its own web.config file to prevent overwriting this file. While it is quite likely that  web.config was also replaced with that of the older backup, I don't recall that many changes were made to web.config between versions 4.09.01 and 4.09.05. If there is an issue with using the existing web.config, we'll have to fix those separately.

Don't forget to backup the entire file system and database before copying over the contents of the 04.09.05 upgrade package.

That seem to work.

Do you mind looking at my site and giving your honest evaluation. I'm about to launch it and I'm looking for honest input.

Gary, congrats, the site looks fine, however in chrome, there is a weird looking outine of the menu, if you click on an item.

Cheers from Germany,
