Ok...
I've been using DNN since the YE' OL'  DNN 2.X  days and have been using all versions up to 5.X but its always been the community editions and i'm familiar with the upgrade merge approach to upgrading where you simply back up DB,and files and then copy over your upgrade package, and then upgrade the site and you're done.

However, i've been tasked with upgrading a PRO version for a client and just as i was about to start the process, i realized wait... i've never upgraded a pro version of DNN. Thankfully all this is on a test server.

MY QUESTION IS:
1)Do i need the client to contact DNN about downloading the PRO 5.6.1 upgrade files?
2)And is the upgrade path the same merge approach as with the community addition?
or 3) do i just simply download the community upgrade of 5.6.1 and then proceed to re-activate the license?

Again, i'm simply upgrading a DNN 5.4.2 PRO to DNN 5.6.1 PRO

Anyone please advise as soon as possible.
Thanks

please contact DNN Corp support for any questions regarding the paid versions of DNN, that's what you are paying for ;).

please be aware that most contributors in these forums don't use a paid version (I have only seen it briefly on demo.dotnetnuke.com myself).

no worries.... i contacted DotNetNuke Corp this morning... still waiting on a reply.

But thank you for your input... I too have been using DNN going back to the YE' OL' 1.x days as FREE version and this is my first time or privilege to use and update the PRO version... so i have to get accustom to doing thing the pro way for this project.

Hopefully i'll hear something back from the PRO Support team soon as i've got to have this done ASAP...

But again.. thanks for your input.

Best regards,
