Just did a DNN upgrade
5.1.4 --> 5.4.4
5.4.4 --> 5.5.0
5.0.0 --> 5.6.0
5.6.0 --> 5.6.1

Upgrade went well - event log good.

Had events module 5.0.3 installed - after upgrade completed discovered that the calendars from the event module were blank.  Upgraded Events module to 5.1.5 then started getting nasty error message.  Fished around and found that a dll was missing -- DotNetNuke.Events.WebControls.dll -- in the Bin Directory. Got the dll from events 5.0.3 and Put the dll in the bin directory still got the message.  Reinstalled Events 5.1.5 (did repair) now the error message is gone, the calendar's are displaying and showing their data.

Questions:
Why did the DNN upgrade not upgrade the events module to 5.1.4 as it was suppose to?
Why was the dll missing?
What really fixed my problem?

I posted this in case some one has a similar problem.

Thank you Judy. I had the same problem (Events Calendar Empty after Upgrade) and your post got me out of a nasty fix.

+1 on the Thanks for this post. I too, just upgraded from 5.2 to 5.6 and lost my events in the Calendar. I queried the Events table and saw them still there but not being displayed. After seeing this post, I upgraded the Events module to 5.1.4 and events were back!
