Hello,
I Upgrade DNN and it compeleted successfully but when i added new codes to the existing module it runs with error on DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll. By the way the dll changed from 2.2.2.0 to 2.0.337.0 automatically ,what's wrong with me.
Regards

The DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll for DNN 5.6.1 should be version 2.2.2.0. The 2.0.337.0 version would have been the one that was in use in DNN 5.0.0. I would suggest copying the DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll from the /bin folder of a fresh DNN 5.6.1 install or upgrade package to the /bin folder of the website.

I'm not sure what you mean by "but when i added new codes to the existing module". What module - one included with DotNetNuke or a custom module you are developing?

What is the error that you are receiving? Please post complete details including the stack trace from the Event Viewer if possible.

The one I developed before .when I copied the corret version of dll to the bin folder it will be ok. but after adding new codes , it changed again to the last version.

Error 1 The project currently contains references to more than one version of DotNetNuke.WebControls, a direct reference to version 2.0.337.0 and an indirect reference (through 'DotNetNuke.UI.Navigation.GetActionNodes') to version 2.2.2.0. Change the direct reference to use version 2.2.2.0 (or higher) of DotNetNuke.WebControls. C:\Projects\WIFI\admin\Containers\DropDownActions.ascx.vb 76
Error 2 The project currently contains references to more than one version of DotNetNuke.WebControls, a direct reference to version 2.0.337.0 and an indirect reference (through 'DotNetNuke.Modules.NavigationProvider.NavigationProvider.Bind') to version 2.2.2.0. Change the direct reference to use version 2.2.2.0 (or higher) of DotNetNuke.WebControls. C:\Projects\WIFI\admin\Containers\DropDownActions.ascx.vb 81
Error 3 The project currently contains references to more than one version of DotNetNuke.WebControls, a direct reference to version 2.0.337.0 and an indirect reference (through 'DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionBase.DisplayControl') to version 2.2.2.0. Change the direct reference to use version 2.2.2.0 (or higher) of DotNetNuke.WebControls. C:\Projects\WIFI\admin\Containers\DropDownActions.ascx.vb 83

I suspect that your custom module project contains a reference to DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll version 2.0.337.0 AND the reference's properties sets Copy Local to TRUE. The end result is that when you made changes to your module code and re-built the project, the old version of DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll was copied over the correct version (2.2.2.0) of DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll that was in the site's /bin folder following the upgrade.

You will need to turn reference the correct version of DotNetNuke.WebControls.dll in your project and turn off Copy Local in the reference to this assembly. Also, you will need to replace the 2.0.337.0 version in the site's /bin folder with the correct version (2.2.2.0) as instructed previously.
