Hello there,

I've upgraded our DNN site from v4.05 to 5.06 successfully,
but there is an issues with viewing the profile!!!
when the user clicking on his user name he's redirected to the home page!!

and when I check the DB, I found that there is no tab with name: "User Profile"(in "Tabs" table) and "UserTabId" field in "PortalLocalization" table refers to the home tab id!!

any help will be highly appreciated

i'd recommend you upgrade to 5.6.1-it fixes an issue where 2 user profiles were created and it stopped it working correctly.

thank you Cathal for your post, I've done what you recommended, but the issue wasn't solved!! :( I think that I need some installation module that install the UserProfile tab and its modules from the beginning!!... I'm not sure why the upgrade process didn't do this!! is it because I done the upgrade from v4.05 to v5.06 directly? please help me thanks in advance

do you have the viewprofile module listed in your list of available modules? If not try going to host->extensions and selecting install available modules and installing it. You can then add it to a page, and set that page as the profile page via admin->site settings.
