Gosh, this problem make the DNN FAQ module not working as well...I guess have to turn off DNN Gzip and use pageblaster gzip...haiz.

We are getting this problem too but cannot disable GZip compression as we need this to ensure decent performance when people are accessing our sites over mobile 3G networks. Does anyone have a solution which doesn't involve turning off the compression (or using Page Blaster)?

I'd imagine a workaround might be to turn off compressions when the page is being loaded by a page editor as it really only the admin screen where this will be an issue. However, I haven't got the time to look into this option right now.

I just experienced this problem with 6.1.2.

As per this thread, changing the compression setting caused the file manager to work instantly.

This unresolved bug has been around for some time. Issues like this are very discouraging to newcomers (and difficult to keep track of for old timers).
